Hydraulic Clamps
SWIFTSURE hydraulic clamps are designed specifically for effective power workholding. Some of our most popular items are-
Swing Clamps
Swing clamps provide maximum reach and clearance for loading and unloading with a rotating arm which swings over workpieces to clamp, then swings out of the way. A safety clutch avoids unexpected damage. Flange, threaded and cartridge bases accommodate workholding and plumbing needs. Options include single-acting or double-acting, and miniature and standard-size units. Choose threaded bodies or flange-base designs, and clockwise or counter-clockwise swing action with standard or custom swing angles. Clamping forces range from 490 lbs. to 6300 lbs. Half, short and thin-nose arms are available, along with extremely compact models. View swing clamps in online catalog.
Edge Clamps
Low-profile edge clamps apply force forward and down when clamping from above would interfere with machining. Low block types sit low but clamp high on workpieces to reduce vibration with 1560 to 7340 lbs. clamping force. Low nose edge clamps have a 3° inclined plunger. Great for holding plates or thin parts, they provide 4560 lbs. clamping force. Both versions mount and adjust easily. View edge clamps in online catalog.
Push Clamps
Push clamps deliver high locating forces in a compact design which allows close positioning of multiple units. The clamps' simple, sturdy designs yield long life.
Threaded-body push clamps mount with accessory brackets or screw directly into fixtures. Standard models have a positive stroke stop and long plunger guide for superior reliability. Options include solid, tapped (to accept contact buttons) and swivel plungers. Double-acting clamps have a fluid-powered return for special requirements in timing sequence. Clamping forces range from 470 to 7480 lbs.
Threaded-collar push clamps mount through fixture walls in tapped or bored holes or on fixture bases. A lockring secures their installation. The case-hardened plunger and its long guide resist side loads. Choose load capacities of 4560 or 11,700 lbs. View push clamps in online catalog.
Block Clamps/Cylinders
Block clamps and cylinders are excellent for punching and assembly operations. They are tough, functional clamps which deliver high forces with push or pull action.
Push-style models offer standard or manifold mounting in eight sizes, with clamping forces from 1870 to 72,900 lbs. Standard double-acting models deliver forces up to 292,000 lbs.
Pull-type block clamps retract with fluid pressure, then a spring return extends the plunger for another clamping cycle. Clamping forces range from 1120 to 43,700 lbs. Optional high-temperature seals are available. View block clamps and cylinders in online catalog.
Extending Clamps
Extending clamps are the most compact downholding clamps available. Ideal for clamping in narrow recesses, their arm extends forward, then straight down to clamp. Available in single- and double-acting models, with flush-retracting or adjustable clamping arm. Several sizes are available, with clamping forces from 2140 to 6570 lbs. Flat Pivot Clamps (Extending Clamps)
Carr Lane Roemheld clamps are designed for clamping flat workpieces on machine tools and for welding applications. Double acting, this compact clamping element compensates for transverse forces at the clamping point, and has a large clamping stroke, with high protection against metal chips and weld splatter. Maximum operating pressure is 7500 psi. View flat pivot clamps in online catalog.
